On July 7, 2009 Google announced Google Chrome Operating System , which is an open source operating system designed by Google to work exclusively with web applications. Google Chrome was publicly available during the second half of 2010.
According to Wikipedia:
Google Chrome OS is basically based on Linux and will run only on specifically designed hardware. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, resembling that of the Chrome web browser. Because the browser will be the only application residing on the device, Google Chrome OS is aimed at users who spend most of their computer time on the Internet.
Let’s talk about the rumor that HP is making a netbook for Google with Google Chrome. Why this rumor takes place because computers are not compatible with the Chrome OS.But in near future we will surely see the products with Chrome OS.Now one question is raised that will HP manufacture such types of computers who will support Chrome OS? And the answer is yes , but according to some sources , Google is working on making a Google branded netbook with Chrome OS.Google contact to many companies for this purpose like Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Toshiba, Lenovo, Freescale,HP, Toshiba ,Adobe, Acer and ASUS.As we saw the the Google-branded Android phone named as Nexus One. So in the same way as the netbook will be a mark of honor for Goggle Inc.

It really gets tiring hearing all the “apple kool-aid” rhetoric. Any time someone makes a post with any mention of an apple product, they are “drinking the kool-aid”. The point netbookspoint.com was making was that it really is riduculous for any netbook product to be considered “perfect for tweeting”. Any handheld product (insert iphone, blackberry, palm, etc) is miles superior for the purpose of tweeting. You want to talk kool-aid? How about all of the corporate customers of Microsoft who have been investing millions on firewalls, anti-virus, IT and upgrades to maintain various ieterations of a fundamentally flawed OS?
