Every company in the world wants to be on first place in its field. But there are few companies who continue their journey of success, Hewlett-Packard is one of them. Recently, Hewlett-Packard named No.1 on Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens List. Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s which is formerly known as CRO Magazine presented their 11th annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens List. In 2009, HP was on fifth number but it gained the first position this year.  HP secured first position because of its great performance in seven categories which are environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial and corporate governance.

According to the Michael Mendenhall, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, HP:

Global citizenship is integral to the success of HP’s business. At HP we strive to harmonize our business goals with our impact on society and the world around us, working with multiple stakeholders including customers and suppliers. We hold ourselves to high standards of transparency and accountability and I’m proud that this award recognizes our continued commitments in this area.
