Today, Microsoft Pakistan opened door for the IT related people from the IT industry of Pakistan in Karachi. The event was started at 9 am and today was the first day of the event. We had already told you guys that Microsoft Open Door Event consists of two days. Let’s start with the community meet-up.
Due to some of our personal stuff we missed some of the starting sessions and join Microsoft in Microsoft Community Meet-Up session. This session was for all the MVPs, MSPs, Professional Partners, Speakers, User Group Leaders and Bloggers. The main reason of this community meet-up was the interaction between the Microsoft Regional Executives and the community members. This session was led by Renat Minazhdinov who is the Regional Technical Audience Marketing Manager (for Microsoft Middle East and Africa Region). Renat began the session in a very formal style but after few minutes he become part of us and interacts with us very friendly. We have asked questions related to the MSDNAA (Microsoft Development Network Academic Alliance), the availability of software’s, training programs for the students, university and general public. Some of the us gave some suggestions, ideas and solutions related to different things. We had also a brief conversation on the piracy rate in Pakistan and how can we reduce it. Bloggers asked about the research centers and facilities for the student. There are many tricks through which people can use Microsoft’s softwares for free but the thing is that how can we spread this thing among the people. We had a great time with the officials. We had also met with Shakir Majeed who is leading the SharePoint User Group of Pakistan .Following are some of the pictures of Microsoft Community Meet and Microsoft Open Door Event (day 1) :
