HP Enterprise Services UK Limited will be responsible to providing consistent global data center services which enable British Petroleum to standardize and consolidate its hosting services and will also take advantage of innovations such as cloud computing, according to the agreement.

According to the S. Deasy, Group Vice President and Chief Information Officer of British Petroleum:

By establishing a standardized global operating model, BP will realize immediate cost reductions, improved consistency of service and be well positioned to utilize emerging technologies.

At the same time, Mike Nefkens who is the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, HP Enterprise Services said that:
