In our last post, we shared some of the pictures related to HP from International Consumer Electronic Show 2011 which shows the presence of one of the best tech companies of the world. HP also brings something very outstanding which is 3D related technology in this year’s CES. In CES 2011, HP invited 3D lovers and tech related people to witness the HP 3D Live event. HP showed up a live recording of band “Earth, Wind & Fire” in 3D with help of projectors on a big screen and ofcourse, without HP 3D Live technology it can’t be possible. HP 3D Live is a new technology from HP Labs.
With a four-year history of R&D around 3- technology, HP is focused on improving every aspect of the 3-D experience, from lens to screen. With HP 3D Live technology, people can able to stream live event in 3D with the capturing ratios of 16:9. We are not talking about live events like TV shows etc. , actually we are talking about live events like concerts , matches of different sports etc. , that is what we call it:
Technology from big platform on big scale for big events.
HP is innovating the way 3D content is created and experienced, from rendering 3-D images to auto-stereoscopic technology that eliminates the need for 3D glasses. HP is also pioneering research in 3D display technologies and information surfaces, both designed to make the interaction between people and technology as intuitive, immersive and rewarding as possible.
Tonight’s concert is one of the first live 3D concert broadcasts. Listening to live music is a unique and immersive experience. HP 3D Live technology takes the experience of an intimate concert and scales it to a broader set of viewers, all while maintaining the authenticity and emotion of the experience.
We are very thankful to Ann Finnie who is the Worldwide PR Manager for consumer PC business for providing us more pictures and details too. For more details visit the Facebook fan page of HP or YouTube channel of HP and Forbes.
